On Friday, June 7th Ubons (from Yazoo City, MS) launches their BBQ Bloody Mary Mix in New York City. The sauce is all natural, gluten free, fat free, has no MSG, and works as a tangy dip for shrimp cocktail when mixed with cocktail sauce. Delicious Mississippi Gulf fresh shrimp will be served at the party!
On Saturday, June 8th, the Mississippi Seafood Marketing Program will be at the 34th Annual Mississippi Picnic in the Park. We will be joined by Chef Patrick Heim. Chef Heim will be serving up samples of three seafood dishes. For more information, please view our news post.
On Saturday, June 8th, and Sunday, June 9th, pitmasters from across the United States will join together for the Big Apple Barbecue Block Party. The Block Party lasts all weekend from 11 AM – 6 PM. Mississippi will be represented by two pitmasters: Garry Roark from Ubon’s in Yazoo City, MS and John Wheeler from the Memphis BBQ Company in Horn Lake, MS.
