Mississippi Seafood Marketing Program (MSMP) is thrilled to once again be a sponsor of Jackson Restaurant Week held September 29th – October 12th throughout Jackson, Mississippi. This two week-long celebration of delicious, inspired dishes features the best of Jackson’s local restaurants and gives diners a chance to help a great cause. This year MSMP is partnering with Babalou Tacos and Tapas in Jackson, MS and City Grille in Madison, MS.
Jackson Restaurant Week has something for every taste and every budget. Diners have the option to choose from an exciting menu developed exclusively for Jackson Restaurant Week or favorite dishes from the regular menu. Chef David Ferris of Babalou Tacos and Tapas in Jackson, MS and Chef Zac Athearn of City Grille in Madison, MS will be proudly serving Mississippi Gulf Seafood throughout the two weeks.
On top of getting a chance to sample some of the best food Jackson has to offer, each diner will have the opportunity to vote for a charity finalist at participating restaurants. With each order off a Jackson Restaurant Week menu, diners will each receive a ballot to vote for one of ten deserving charities. At the end of the week, the votes will be tallied and one charity will receive a check for $10,000. This year’s charity finalists include the Alzheimer’s Association, Make-A-Wish Foundation Mississippi, Hope House, March of Dimes, and Mississippi’s Children Museum.
MSMP is delighted to be able to support two weeks full of creative, tasty dishes and a chance to assist an important charity. “We hope diners take advantage of Jackson Restaurant Week and try as many restaurants as they can and place as many votes as they can,” said Irvin Jackson, Director of the MSMP. “We’re especially looking forward to the menus at Babalous Tacos and Tapas and City Grille as both will be offering seasonally-inspired dishes featuring fresh, wild-caught, sustainable Mississippi Gulf Seafood.”
